How VOCO Works

The world we imagine (Vision): A just, equitable, and socially cohesive world.

How we’ll get there (Mission): Empower students to unite divided communities through music.

Vocal Coalition has three pathways for you to join us:

  • The Student Alliance: for 5th-12th grade youth community unifiers

  • The Community Alliance: for cultural groups, educators, schools, faith-based communities, live-music lovers, and donors

  • The Artistic Alliance: for Colorado musicians in any genre who feel aligned with Vocal Coalition’s vision for unity

Which alliance do you want to learn about?

Our Executive Director: Travis Branam

Travis Branam has been bringing Colorado artists and youth choirs together since 2011. Determined to grow the impact of his division-defeating concept, Travis founded Vocal Coalition in 2017. Travis is also an Assistant Conductor of the Colorado Symphony Chorus and the Worship Pastor at the Lakewood Church of Christ.

Here’s what some people say about Travis:

Travis genuinely cares about the students and artists he works with. He is honest, reliable, and has a very welcoming presence that puts the people around him at ease.
--Juice ET Hugo Rodriguez, MC, 2MX2

Travis is PASSIONATE. He is a leader that is not only musically accomplished but is inspiring, allowing his passion and joy to overflow into rehearsal and uplift every choir member. He is an encourager, purposefully speaking truth into the lives of young artists.
--Emma Bechler, VOCO Founding Member and composer of The Revival

Travis has a love for children and music that is unrivaled. His dedication to the arts and to their preservation through community has positively affected my life, my children, my music, and our city.
