Step Into Your Power
Through Music
We create space for youth of all backgrounds to express identity, build confidence, and find community through music they connect with. By blending a high-energy, uplifting music curriculum with intentional social-emotional learning, VOCO helps youth step into their power as creators, performers, and leaders. With free after-school programs, leadership pathways, and opportunities like international cultural exchange, VOCO is removing barriers and redefining what a youth choir can be.
A choir like
no other
Founded in 2018, VOCO empowers youth to find their voice, express their identity, and grow into confident, resilient leaders. We prioritize access and inclusion, serving young people from diverse cultural, economic, and social backgrounds—especially BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and immigrant communities. Through music, mentorship, and community, VOCO transforms lives on and off the stage.
Sing.
Create.
Lead.
VOCO offers free after-school programs for 3rd–12th grade students, designed to develop artistic, social, and leadership skills. Youth participate in:
High-energy choir rehearsals & performances
Songwriting with professional artists
Social-emotional learning & leadership development
International cultural exchanges & tours
Over 200 youth engage in VOCO each year, with more than 60% identifying as BIPOC. Students report increased confidence, stronger leadership skills, and deeper connections to their communities. VOCO is more than a choir—it’s a place where young people thrive, express themselves, and step fully into their power.
